(EXPERIENCE) A Thought About 'The Process'.

The time frame between setting and completing a goal is without a doubt my favourite part of the journey - it is the feeling I constantly chase. When you commit to the process and you commit to a vision the end result shouldn't be surprising, it should be expected. Arrogance is derived from ego, confidence is derived from hard work. Hard work resides in the process. Embrace the process and reside in the constant journey that is goal allocation and completion. If you're working consistently and meeting your expectations then you have the right to talk about your achievements. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for taking the time to read this post. (EXPERIENCE)Dealing With The Entitlement Complex

When it comes to achieving goals that we have set for ourselves, we can become ruled by expectation. We may believe that a set amount of work will eventually lead to a set result - if we work hard then we will get exactly what it is that we want from life. Whilst this statement is true to some extent, it is important not to be sucked into this potentially maladaptive expectation. As with anything in life, because there is a general rule it does not mean that that rule applies to your specific, individual scenario. Believing in the notion that hard work will eventually lead to results can leave lots of people disappointed - not because the statement is a lie but rather because the timeframe between the goal that is set and the time that the goal is achieved is severly underestimated. This is where the notion of entitlement can be seen clearer. Just because somebody achieved a goal in fairly quick succession does not mean that you are entitled to that experience as well. Just becau

(VISION) Always Forward: Thought Of The Day

If you follow me on Instagram, you will be aware of my pursuit for one percent improvement every day. Why one percent though? Because its doable. When setting goals that we aim to stick to, we sometimes place so much emphasis on getting lots done quickly that we forget to consider whether the speed we set will be one, enjoyable and two attainable! I was guilty of this until I realised that an improvement of one percent in some regard  every day totals a massive three hundred and sixty five percent improvement per year when compared to the sporadic ten, fifteen or fifty percent improvement at a given time period that isn't improved upon afterwards for a while. Strive for one percent every day and you will always move forward. If you're always moving forward then you're always getting better. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for taking the time to read this post. (EXPERIENCE) Controlling The Lust For More

We lust everyday. We lust for more products, more clothes, more followers, more likes...I believe that we all encounter and activate out of the 'lust' aspect of our being for at least one thing, every day. I would argue that our primal urges have manifested mostly into products - consumerism  has never been more rampant - because we have never been so exposed. Exposed to others opinions, others judgement and others acceptance or rejection! With this exposure comes an emphasis on possession as a reflection of our own self worth. What we have, we are. I have 10k followers, I am popular I have red soled trainers, I am a swaglord. I have a flash car, I am attractive. The association of ourselves with our  possessions is harmful because we never break the cycle - we are constantly seduced into more. Whilst I am not saying we totally remove ourselves from our material wants, that is a very difficult task, I am saying that we can ground ourselves by appreciating what

(EXPERIENCE) Connect With You: Dealing With Regret

One of the greatest tragedies that I can think of is reflecting on yourself and feeling regretful. 'I wish I did this instead of...' 'I wish I told this person how I REALLY felt...' 'I wish I could have done...' We all experience regret at some point in our lives, and it is at this point that we should look deep into our feelings and question why we walked down a path that we knew deep down couldn't accommodate for our needs and wants. Every day that we are gifted with is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and our truest, deepest desires and wants. We spend all day trying to impress the same people that evidently do not deserve our energy because they give nothing in return. We spend time developing relationships with these people instead of taking the time to delve deep and meet the purest version of ourselves, unfiltered from what exists outside our being, outside of our expectations. The world that we experience is a result of the fe
