(VISION) Expand Your Framework: The Importance of Clarity and Purpose in achieving any goal.

Hey Guys!

The 'Expand Your Framework' podcast  is back and in this episode we will be discussing why clarity of vision and purpose are so important to achieving your goals.

You can listen to and download the episode here.

Below you will find a summary of the episode if you are hard of hearing/deaf or prefer to write things down.

The importance of CLARITY
  • If your vision of success is not clear, then how can you expect to achieve your goals?
  • Unfortunately, in order to achieve clarity of vision EXTENSIVE PLANNING IS KEY.
  • If you aren't prepared to plan your moves, your chances of success are SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED.
*Some ways to plan in regards to goal setting - ask yourself 'what do I want to achieve?' , 'how am I going to do this?' , 'what obstacles are going to potentially stop me from achieving my goals?' and 'how can I overcome this obstacles?'.

Chances are, if you have prepared for set backs, you are less likely to want to give up once they come your way!

The importance of PURPOSE
  • If you don't know WHY you are doing something then how do you expect to achieve the goals you have set?
  • Purpose comes from this why question - identify why you are wanting to achieve your goal and you will have a form of accountability.
  • Identifying a 'why' question seems like an obvious thing to do - it is often overlooked though - PARTICULARLY with personal goals.
Of course there are other factors outside of Clarity and Purpose that effect whether you will achieve a goal. However, I believe that in order to really commit to a goal, these two are essential in keeping you on track and accountable.

(EXPERIENCE) Connect With You: Dealing With Regret

One of the greatest tragedies that I can think of is reflecting on yourself and feeling regretful. 'I wish I did this instead of...' 'I wish I told this person how I REALLY felt...' 'I wish I could have done...' We all experience regret at some point in our lives, and it is at this point that we should look deep into our feelings and question why we walked down a path that we knew deep down couldn't accommodate for our needs and wants. Every day that we are gifted with is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and our truest, deepest desires and wants. We spend all day trying to impress the same people that evidently do not deserve our energy because they give nothing in return. We spend time developing relationships with these people instead of taking the time to delve deep and meet the purest version of ourselves, unfiltered from what exists outside our being, outside of our expectations. The world that we experience is a result of the fe

(BUSINESS) Altiefe Presents Launching An Idea Part 2: The Passionate Area

Welcome to the second article of this ‘Launching an Idea’ series. In the first article, we looked at identifying a driving force (available to read here ), today we are going to be looking at transferring that driving force over to a passionate area. What is a passionate area? Passionate area: A creative pursuit that a person feels most comfortable and most free to operate within. This is usually a specific area within a wider discipline/creative pursuit e.g. A fashion vlogger . Chances are, if you're reading this article you have an idea of what it is you want to do or where abouts your creative idea is going to be situated – the passionate area is a little more specific, though. To give this article some context, a friend of mine is a fantastic music producer. He can produce a number of different genres of electronic music and has found success in most of them but his main passionate area is within dubstep. Now, some of you may hear dubstep and go ‘yuck!’ b

(EXPERIENCE) What Meditation Has Taught Me: The Importance Of The Present

I have been recently delving into the discipline of meditation. I aim to practice only ten minutes a day, everyday. I would like to share with you perhaps my biggest breakthrough regarding meditation - the importance of the present. As a young creative, I am constantly looking either forwards  into the future visualing my goals or backwards  into the past - learning from my mistakes.  I found that through practice, particularly in guided meditation that I was ignoring arguably the most important time frame - the now . It suddenly dawned on me. In order to bring my future aspirations into fruition I have to examine my actions in the present moment to ensure that they fit with what I aim to achieve in the future . The same applies for my past - in order to ensure that I am learning from any mistake or painful experience, I have to be cognisant of what I am doing in the now to ensure that I am truly implementing changes from what I have learned from the past into my present day ac
